Wood Deck Cleaning: is a multi-step process to remove dirt, mold, mildew, and grime from a decks surface, improving its appearance and longevity. It involves clearing debris, pre-rinsing, applying a specialized deck cleaner or mild soap, scrubbing with a stiff-bristle brush, and thorough rinsing to remove all residue. For stubborn stains or old coatings, a deck stripper or sanding may be required, followed by wood brightener to restore the woods PH balance before it dries completely for sealing or staining.
Composite Deck Cleaning: involves clearing debris, applying a gentle cleaning solution with a soft-bristle brush, scrubbing the deck in the direction of the grain, and thoroughly rinsing with water to remove all residue. For tougher stains or mold, a specialized composite cleaner or a mild solution of Sodium Hypochlorite and water can be used, followed by scrubbing and rinsing. Using a pressure washer requires extreme caution we keep ours at a low setting and at a safe distance to avoid damaging the deck.
