Soft-Wash house washing is a low-pressure method for cleaning home exteriors that uses a cleaning solution of water, bleach, and a surfactant to kill organic stains like mold, mildew, and algae, rather than relying on high-pressure water to blast them away. This method is safer for various surfaces such as vinyl siding, wood, stucco and painted finishes, as it avoids the damage and risks associated with high pressure, and it provides a longer-lasting clean by eliminating the root cause of the organic growth.
How Soft-Washing works.
1. Apply a cleaning solution: Low pressure pumps are used to apply a mixture of water, a cleaning agent like bleach, and a surfactant to the surface.
2. Allow dwell time: The solution is allowed to sit on the surface to break down and kill organic growth.
3. Low-Pressure rinse: The surface is then rinsed with a low-pressure water stream to remove loosened dirt, grime, and the cleaning solution.
